PBX Funicular Intaglio Zone pre-order & Walls and Doors
Just like it was the case with Letur-Lefr, the bundle consists of CD, vinyl LP, cassette tape, a T-shirt and downloads of both 24-bit (mp3, FLAC) and 32 bit (wav) digital versions of the album. The T-shirt contains two different details from the actual painting painting – one on the front and one on the back and it’s pink, just like the album cover.
If you need the track listing, it was posted in May. The international version of the album does not contain two last tracks from that listing.
Order the album in Japan – released on 12th of September. CDs only, for everything else; try the official store.
Order the album internationally – released on 24th of September[1]. No bundles and T-shirts are available here, cassettes will be available around the release date.
Order the album in North America – also where to download digital and bundles, regardless of where in the world you are. Folks outside of the 27 countries of the European Union can also get their cassettes here.
Moreover, there’s a free download of the song Walls and Doors. You only need to enter a valid e-mail address and click on the link from the message that you’ll be sent within a couple of seconds. The download is a 66 Mb .wav file, so don’t be confused!
This song, recorded in September 2010, marks the point at which I began combining 60s and early 70s production styles with modern electronic production styles. This song was also the first time I successfully balanced pop music with abstract forms of music. This song showed me that the pop parts of myself and the more adventurous parts of myself could blend without one compromising the scope of the other.
Also, here’s a reminder of what he said about it in the May 28th untitled post:
This song pointed the way towards PBX, but was recorded 7 months earlier. I always took it for granted that Walls and Doors would be part of the record, but as it turned out the record was better off without it.
